Mayor Glenn Jacobs (aka Kane) to join Wings Etc. Knoxville for ‘Eat and Greet’ on Nov. 4

Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, better known as WWE’s Kane, will be at Wings Etc. Knoxville on Nov. 4 from 11:30-12:30 to take photos, sign autographs, and meet with community members.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 2, 2022)—Former WWE Superstar and current Knox County mayor Glenn Jacobs (aka Kane) will join the Wings Etc. Knoxville team on Nov. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for this week’s “Eat and Greet.” Wings Etc. Knoxville owners Dwayne and Tami O’Dell noted that the mayor, who has served Knox County since 2018, reached out to Wings Etc. for this week’s event and has been supportive of the grill and pub since their grand opening in March 2021.

“Mayor Jacobs attended our grand opening and brought us a signed picture of him as Kane, which we now have on our wall at the restaurant,” said Tami O’Dell. “We’re very excited to host him this Friday and give guests an opportunity to get to know our mayor and enjoy a delicious meal while they’re here.”

Jacobs was signed to the WWE in 1995 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 for his professional wrestling work as Kane. He will be available for pictures, autographs, and questions from the public during the Wings Etc. “Eat and Greet” event on Friday.

Each week, Jacobs chooses local restaurants to dine at as part of his “Eat and Greet” series.

“He picks local places to hang out, eat, mingle with the community, and give people a chance to meet him,” said O’Dell. “He and his staff really love for people to join them so they can connect. This also helps the community get to know him and ask any questions they may have.”

Guests are encouraged to bring items they want signed to the “Eat and Greet.” Wings Etc. Knoxville is located at 319 Lovell Road in Knoxville.
