PALM HARBOR, Fla. (April 28, 2022)— Since it was first announced in late 2019, Palm Harbor area resident and franchisee Ricardo Valdes said the Palm Harbor community has been excited to see the first Wings Etc. Grill & Pub franchise open in Florida. Soon, the community’s wait will be over. Wings Etc. Palm Harbor will open its doors at 11 a.m. on May 3 for its official grand opening.

“The community has been stopping in since day one to check on the progress of our Wings Etc.,” said Valdes. “They have been outstanding, and I’m excited to open and welcome them in.”

Valdes, a former Florida Highway Patrol Trooper and retired USPS worker, is new to the restaurant industry but said owning his own business has always been one of his goals.

“This has been a life goal,” said Valdes. “I always wanted to be a cop, and I did that. But, I have also always wanted to have my own business, and I’m going to do that too.”

One of his many objectives in owning a Wings Etc. is to find ways to give back. Valdes explained he’s already reached out to schools in the Pinellas County area to see how Wings can help. When guests enter Wings Etc. Palm Harbor, they will see the restaurant walls covered with local school memorabilia celebrating the accomplishments of Palm Harbor area teams.

Wings Etc. offers a casual dining experience with extensive menu offerings and features dozens of large HDTV’s—perfectly positioned for multiple-game viewing. The restaurant is a favorite among those in the Indiana area, as Valdes has come to find out.

“There is nothing like Wings Etc.,” said Valdes. “We often have people from Ohio and Indiana stop by, and they comment how they are thrilled to see a piece of home coming to Palm Harbor. This community is very excited, and we’re excited to offer a family-oriented sports bar experience.”

Wings Etc. Palm Harbor will celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, May 3 at 11 a.m. The restaurant is located at 3419 Alt 19, Palm Harbor, Florida.
