Wings Etc. Boiling Springs to donate portion of sales on May 1 to guest fighting breast cancer

To help with medical bills, Wings Etc. Boiling Springs is donating 5% of food sales on May 1 to loyal patron Donna Gans, who was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year.

Boiling Springs, S.C. (April 27, 2023)—On May 1, Wings Etc. Boiling Springs will donate 5% of food and soft drink sales for the entire day to loyal guest and friend Donna Gans, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2022. Wings Etc. Boiling Springs owner Scott McFalls explained that Gans and her family are great people, and he wanted to extend a helping hand.

“I’ve always felt that if you can help, you should,” said McFalls. “Donna and her family have been coming here for years, and we’ve been blessed and supported by our community. We want to give that same support back.”

Gans explained that her cancer is metastatic and has spread to her bones and lungs. While she has a long battle ahead, she noted that she is prepared to fight hard and appreciates the support of her family, friends, and community.

“I’m so thankful for all of the support and love I’ve been shown,” said Gans. “I will fight with everything in me, and with God’s grace and mercy, I will beat this.”

“It warms my heart so much to see people coming together for her,” added Amber, Gans’s daughter. “All of the support from everyone around her, people I don’t know, extending a hand—it is truly a special thing.”
Gans is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and money raised will help with medical expenses.

To help raise money for Donna Gans’s fight against breast cancer, guests can dine in or carry out anytime between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, May 1, where 5% of the day’s food and soft drink sales will be donated to the Gans family. Guests are encouraged to let their server know they are there for the fundraising event.
